Apple created iPhone which looked like iPods, now Microsoft is following up by creating the Microsoft Pink Phone after their Music Player Zune with similar looks and Touch Screen Functionality. When you compare of sales of iPod Vs Zune, you would know the result , with Zune nowhere in the comparisions because of very less sales, hence we can think of 1 thing, Microsoft should continue with their Operating Systems Business rather than getting into these new things which can #fail.
Everyone is calling it as a “True competition to the iPhone” , but in my view there is a competition when there are two products being launched at the same time, and when they try to capture the market. Currently the scenario says that Apple iPhone has already take a huge share in the market with success making the Microsoft Pink Phone a bit harder to penetrate and gain trust unless it can offer everything which iPhone does not offer and also some really efficient functions.
The phone code named as ‘Zune 3′ was a Zune Concept Phone which you can find here - a complete prototype of Zune 80 with internet explorer, wifi marketplace, common phone apps. The Looks are good, with promising features, now if the price is good with Microsoft having plans to make money their Value Added Services[VAS] or Apps like iPhone offers then they can seriously create their own market for the ZunePhone.
