Have you ever wanted to talk online to multiple friends about the same thing without having to instant-message each of them individually? OK, a mass e-mail can work, but there's an even simpler solution: TinyChat is a free service that lets you whip up your own chat room for your friends to easily join.

The service is extremely easy to use. Once you go to the homepage, just click to create your own chatroom, and then you can send your link to whoever it is you want to chat with online. Much like TinyURL, TinyChat creates a new URL each time for you to send out.

Click "enter chatroom" and you'll be asked for a nickname. You can either create a nickname of your choice, or you can log into your Twitter account. But beware,--by submitting your Twitter login, your Twitter status is updated with a link to your chat, meaning anyone who follows you on Twitter can join the chat.

Your chat is secure, and after you leave the chat room, all the chat data is gone. You can choose to save the chat transcript to your computer. And you can also copy an embed code to post to your blog, MySpace page, etc., to invite more people to the chat.
