Chad Wyatt of PrettyTweet emailed me regarding his newly launched WYSIWYG Twitter background designer that helps you create custom Twitter background for your profile without forking out money to pay for professional designers or struggle figuring out some complicated features in Adobe Photoshop.
After selecting a template, you’ll be directed to the editor which you can then upload your own image or logo either from the web or computer. The image adjustment feature enables users to alter the image size, rotation, a drag-and-drop image positioning, etc. Other key features includes adding your own text in two layout options, change text colors, change text sizes and change text position. When you’re satisfied with your work, PrettyTweet will send the image to your email and from there you can upload it to your profile.
The downside of PrettyTweet is that it only offers default Twitter backgrounds which doesn’t seems special to me at all (even though Kevin Rose uses it). However, I believe that Chad Wyatt and his team will try to expand the list by adding more new and amazing ones. Of course it would be great if PrettyTweet were to partner with TwitterGallery (a website that provides really cool themes) to help Twitterers to design their custom Twitter background. Most likely it would be a success and the number of people joining Twitter is increasing significantly everyday!
