TubeChop: Chop and Share Parts From YouTube Vids

We've all been there. There's a great video on YouTube, but it's long and you only want to share a portion of it with your friends or your blog audience. TubeChop.com lets you select that portion - and only that portion - and either email a link or embed the snippet right on your blog.

Online consumers have pretty short attention spans. It's unlikely that you can keep them on your site to watch a video for more than a couple of minutes, especially if there are elements of that video unrelated to their interests. So, this is a good way to be able to add some video to your site, on your terms.
You can either search TubeChop to find videos on YouTube, or enter the video's URL (during my tests, entering the YouTube URL worked much better than searching through TubeChop.) Then, you drag the black bars on either end of the progress bar to define the portion of the video that you want. If you click on the left black bar, you can test out the portion that you have chopped. I've found that the video cuts off a second or two before your defined chop, so keep that in mind. Next, you simply email the URL provided or copy the embed code. That's it.
