The Very First Lighter Phone SB6309

Although I fully admit to chuckling quite a bit after first seeing this cellphone with a built-in cigarette lighter, I can see some practicality with it. After all, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard of my smoking friends losing their lighter. I’ve been asked numerous times if I happen to have a lighter on me, despite that they’re fully aware I don’t smoke. Having a lighter built into your cellphone would come in incredibly handy. After all, your phone is almost always somewhere within reach.....

Google recently allowed publishers to pick a font for the AdSense powered ads. Only three fonts were provided though.
They are now allowing publishers to pick the font size!
Publishers are now allowed to change the font size of the text in their ad units. Three options are available: small, medium and large.
These options are however only available on Latin character ads.

There are 2 ways to change the size

Method 1 : To change fonts for every ad unit

1. First login to your Adsense account and at the top bar click on My Account and select Account Settings.

Google Adsense FAQs - Tips

Posted by Wonderful-Tricks

How are Google ads targeted? How does Google know when someone clicks on my ad?The ads we display on a webpage are determined automatically by our system based on a number of factors such as the page content, linguistics, keyword analysis, word frequency, font size, and the overall link structure of the web.

When a user clicks on an ad on your website, Google receives a signal and records it. Your account is also updated with the impression and CPC data. When you log into the AdSense website the impressions, clicks, and earnings are for the date displayed in the drop-down menu next to ‘View’.

What do you mean by CPC, CPM and CTR ?
CPC is the amount an advertiser pays each time a user clicks on his/her ad. Google AdWords has a CPC pricing system. CPM stands for “cost per 1000 impressions.” Advertisers running CPM ads set their desired price per 1000 ads served and pay each time their ad appears. CTR is the number of link clicks divided by the number of link impressions.

For publishers, this means you’ll earn revenue each time a CPM ad is served to your page. CPM ads compete against pay-per-click (or CPC, cost per click) ads in our ad auction, and we’ll display whichever ad is expected to earn more revenue for you.

How do we determine if CPC or CPM ads are running on our site?
CPC and CPM ads will directly compete to show on your pages, and we’ll display whichever ad will generate the maximum revenue. Placement targeting will work to your benefit, as more competition among ads means higher potential earnings for you.

To determine whether placement-targeted cost-per-thousand-impression ads are appearing on your site, visit your Advanced Reports page. Choose AdSense for content as the product and select to show data by ‘Individual Ad’ - you’ll see a checkbox titled ‘Show data by targeting type - contextual or placement.’ When you check this box, you’ll be able to see how many placement-targeted ads you’re displaying on your pages

How do I implement code?
Once your AdSense application has been approved, you can follow our quick start guide which will help you generate AdSense code from your account

1. Generate ad code on your website
2. View the source code of your web page
3. Select a spot between the opening and closing tags in your source code (What do you mean by BODY tags?)
4. Paste ad code on your website without making any changes
5. Save changes and upload or publish the updated pages to your server
Start displaying Google ads on your website. Hurray!

Could I get help with pasting my ad code on Blogger, Wordpress and other Content Management Platforms?
We have a detailed topic that covers all these questions in our Help Center.

Can I paste ad code on multiple websites?
Yes, you’re welcome to place Google ads or an AdSense for search box on any number of websites (you need to have access to the source code of the page) that complies with our program policies ( http://www.google.com/adsense/policies). There’s no need for us to review the site beforehand - simply copy and paste the ad code or search code onto your website, and we’ll automatically detect and serve ads to the new site.

I have placed my ad code on multiple sites. How can I view separate reports for each site?
Yes, you can do so by creating a URL channel for each site. You will not need to modify your ad code in any way, and your channels will start tracking ad performance almost immediately. View detailed instructions on creating URL channels

How do I change the color of my AdSense ads?

Which ad formats perform better ? How many ad units can I display on a particular web page?
As a rule of thumb, wider ad formats tend to outperform their taller counterparts, due to their reader-friendly format. For more information about desigining successful ads, visit this link
1. Three standard ad units
2. Three link units
3. Two search boxes

Can I implement only image ads? Will I earn more by displaying only image ads?
Yes. You can choose to run ad units that will display only image ads by selecting the Image ads only option when generating your ad layout code.

For maximum revenue potential, however, we suggest selecting Text and image ads. This allows us to serve the most targeted and highest revenue generating ads to your pages, providing a better user experience to your site’s visitors and potentially increasing your AdSense revenue.

Can I filter out certain ads that appear on my web page?

What are invalid clicks and how does Google distinguish them?
Clicks or page impressions generated through prohibited means, and intended to artificially increase click or impression counts on a publisher account. Google has removed the Secure Check delivery feature from Indian Publishers account. They are no more charging for the Check Delivery. Actually, Now the Indian publishers will receive Google checks through Blue Dart, which will be free of charge. The Secured Check was charging $25 to the publishers but now it’s free.

Also the publishers can track their check thru Blue Dart’s tracking Service. Google has introduced this new rule because of the suggestions received by Indian Publishers to introduce some quick and cheap way to send the payments like some Direct Debit type facility. Or May be they will now send the check from India instead of Dublin which could be the reason of cost cutting.

Checks mailed by Blue Dart would arrive within 10-30 days of the check date, which is quite a long period but considerable one. In my opinion it’s better than the last one as, I think that checks from Blue Dart should arrive within 10 days rather than 10-30 days.

Also they says that “Blue Dart is not able to service all areas throughout India. If you live in a location they don't service, your check will be sent by Registered Post and should reach you within 2-3 weeks of the mailing date.”

Switching click on PPC ads, allowed?

Posted by Wonderful-Tricks

The phenomenon of click exchange among Pay Per Click (PPC) ads publishers is not the new issue. Why does Kang Rohman discuss this phenomenon? I have no other intention except to give you a view and opinion about this issue.

Click exchange or switching click on PPC ads, allowed? The answer is “NOT ALLOWED”. Why not? Well, let us find and observe together.

Overview of the PPC ads business
Before you go to a business, certainly, you must know how the business works, and now, how does Pay Per Click (PPC) ads work?

The parties involved in the PPC business

PPC ads company
The PPC ads company is a lot, for examples, Google Adsense, Bidvertiser, Adbrite, etc. These companies will make money when there are the other companies that have products either goods or service, advertise their products or services. In short, PPC ads Company will make money from the Advertisers.

Advertiser
The advertiser is a Company, organization, or individual who has a product, either goods or service. In order to promote the product, they advertise it. One of so many ways is by advertising on PPC Ads Company. I short, the Advertiser will get the benefit by having their product well known to get many customers. Automatically, the advertiser will make more money.

Publisher
To expand the promotion network, PPC Ads Company offers the cooperation to website or blog owners to publish the ads available at their company. So, we can say that Publisher is a website or blog owner who cooperates with PPC Ads Company to publish the ads on their website or blog. Publisher will make money if visitors click the PPC ads on their blog or website.

Now let us find out the correlation and the process of PPC business. Advertiser pays the PPC Ads Company, and then PPC Ads Company pays Publisher (the payment from Advertiser will be split to Publisher and PPC Ads Company), and the Advertiser will earn money by selling their products.

When all is running properly and as it is, it will be a Symbiosis Mutualism, or the mutually beneficial relationship. However, what if one of the parties makes fraudulence? For instant, the click exchange among publishers. Of course, The PPC Ads Business will be destroyed or bankrupt. Why so? Let’s get back to find out!

Many Publishers switch clicks among the other publishers on the PPC ads they have on their website or blog to increase their earnings because if this works naturally, their earnings will be little. If this happens, it will harm the Advertisers, because automatically, they pay something empty, they will pay something that does not give them the benefits, because the clicks are not from the potential customers but from the publishers themselves. You should know, it will make their products are not sold very well as they desire. If the advertisers do not get anything from the PPC ads, they will not advertise their products anymore at PPC Ads Company. And the PPC Ads Company will be bankrupt because there are no more advertisers that pay them. So what will happen to Publishers? You can guess it, the publisher will be bankrupt as well because who will pay them?

Therefore, if you still want to involve with PPC business, Kang Rohman calls all Publishers to stop the click exchange on PPC ads, because it will bankrupt all parties including PPC ads Company, Advertiser, and you as the publisher.

The discussion above is the first thing that publishers should consider and think. Besides that, of course you should think the other things that may concern.

To avoid the fraudulence that may happen, and to make this business works properly, PPC Ads Companies have prepared a system that can detect the activities of the ads publishing. To focus our discussion, I would take Google Adsense as the topic.

Google party has prepared a sophisticated system that can detect any activity of ads published, how often is the ad viewed by visitors, how many times is the ad clicked, IP address of visitors who click the ad, from where the visitors come whether from email, search engine, shoutbox, and others.

As the comparison, you may know one of free Google services in the term of tracking, called Google Analytics. With Google Analytics you will know how many the visitors of your web or blog are in one day, how long your visitors are on your blog, from where your visitors come (Search Engine, Direct Traffic, Referring Sites), what OS that the visitors use in their computers, the resolution of the monitor of your visitors’ computer, the browser they use, which pages that they read, from which keyword your visitors come, the unique visitors, the new visitor, or regular visitors, the origins of visitors, the cities of visitors, and more.

Just by Google Analytics, the free service, we can detect any activity of our web or blog, of course, Google will apply the more sophisticated system instead of their free service. Therefore, you must be careful if you like to do fraudulence. Be ready if your Google Adsense account will result in deactivation.

The other thing that you should consider is the bad effect of the fraudulence to honest publishers. If there is fraudulence in high level from the publishers from one country, possibly, the country will get any difficulty. For example, Google now allows us to withdraw our earnings through Western Union, Google may cancel, even an extreme one will result in Black List, and so the entire publisher from the country will never be able to become the publisher in Google Adsense.

In a good cooperation, we all will hope the benefits for all parties who involve. If one of the parties feels and gets loss, the cooperation will not work properly. Therefore, think of the bad effects before you do fraudulence for yourself and others.

The US search engine giant has introduced a new feature known as expandable ads on Adsense blogs or websites, according to a blog post published by the Adsense team on Wednesday. So bascially how does this type of advertising works? Just think of Digg’s impressive user log-in interface. Google uses rich media advertising and when a particular interested reader finds an advertisement useful to him or her, it’ll expand beyond the original size of the ad unit. The main aim of implementing this option is that it allows more interaction for potential customers since there is more space available as compared to the original text-based or image advertising. As explained by Arlene, a member from the Adsense team explained that “expandable ads may stream a movie trailer, show video game clips, or display various views of an item for sale”.

Currently, only advertisers based in the United States are testing out these expandable ads to promote their websites or products but will expand its reach to an international soon. Expandable ads isn’t a single ad option and it’s incorporated with the image ads. For example, if you’ve already enabled images ads on your blog, ads will automatically expand when a user is interested in it, provided that there is an adequate number of advertisers who are willing to try out this new feature. Bloggers earn revenue from ads by CPC (Cost Per Click) which simply means that earnings will be credited in your Adsense account whenever a visitor head to the advertiser’s landing page instead of just clicking to expand the ads.

In my own opinion, the implementation of expandable ads by the folks at Google is really wonderful since it significantly boost interaction of user and of course more making publishers more profitable. However, there are still some downsides with Google’s new launch of this ad format. For example, some publishers don’t really like this expandable ads feature because they won’t make any earnings when a user expands an image ad and therefore less income for them since not all expansions will definitely lead to the landing page which results in more money. Also, due to the fact that a sub-category of Google Image Ads, hence bloggers find it irksome to completely opt out from the brand-new format. This can be done using the Competitive Filter and the Ad Review Center.
